IMCA Nations Cup 2002 (Ostend, August 29-September 1)
NATIONS CUP: THE REVENGE FOR RIBERA
Czechia didn't defeat them all, . . . it just pulverised them all

Sunday 7.30 p.m. The Czech Emperor Vladimir Horky I with his dauphin Josef Korec and with his best disciples Jan Korec and Frankie Poledna. Of course only the Emperor himself has the right to hold the Queen. At the 2002 Nations Cup Czechia took a terrible revenge for Ribeira. Although the Italians showed with their best racers (Trigilio is not a brilliant racer with slow and heavy cars), although the Italians could race on an all-Italian track with all-Italian power, and although the Italians came with 6 competitors, Czechia only with four, never a defeat was so cruel. Czechia won its second Nations Cup (the first was at Mechelen 1994) with the triple of the points of its first and second runner-up, res. Belgium I and Italy. And the always smiling Emperor: he still doesn't speak one word English, even not "Track!" Why he should, since he deslots never.  Pic: Bob Demeyer.
