IMCA Nations Cup 2002 (Ostend, August 29-September 1)
FOUR SUBTOP CARS ON ONE PICTURE

Yannick Demeyer's n°36 M&M's Pontiac finished 6th at the Mello Yello and 28th at the EuroNats. The n°40 Coors Light Dodge was the car JPVR assembled for himself. Unfortunately he couldn't race it since America's Paul Kassens showed without body. The car came back without decals. Another beautiful car was Ulysses Relvas's n°42 Belsouth Chevrolet, at the EuroNats the fastest of all Portuguese cars. At the Consolation Race Relvas gave long time the impression to be able to finish at the top-4, but the he dropped seriously in the standings during the three last segments. The n°43 Cheerios STP is JPVR's, finishing 33rd at the EuroNats and 7th at the Consolation Race. It's obvious that JPVR is no longer competitive among a select group of top racers. Next year he'll lead the Belgium B Team, qualified for next year's Nations Cup under the direction of Bob Demeyer. Next year Bob will be the chief race-director.  Pic: Anthony Bithrey.
