November 6, 2011 - It's Sunday, early - very early - in the morning. Within 2 hours I need  to go to the Antwerp Book Fair, where during 12 days I have to sign my new book on Belgian uranium. Meanwhile I am working at my new political party. I moved from Grimbergen to my new house at Herenthout (20 miles away from Antwerp). I have hardly time to breath. I tell you in a nut shell what seems important concerning slotracing.

1. SERIOUS SPONSORING PROBLEMS FOR THE BARCELONA WORLDS
Up to now only half of the agreed sponsoring contracts could be materialised. Indeed of the promised $ 67,500 only $ 26,000 US has been paid up to now. Another slice of $ 10,000 US will be paid mid-January. But it looks as if a $ 31,500 contract will be never paid. That's a sad situation because the amount doesn't allow that all invited racers, coming from overseas, will receive in January on their bank account the scheduled travelling incentive. If things will remain what they are only the following racers will receive a travelling incentive:
"Gugu" Bernardino (BR, $ 1250), Chris Radisich (NZ, $ 1250), Howard Ursaner (USA, $ 1250), James Cleave (GB, $ 1000), Mike Swiss (USA, $ 1250), Ron Hershman (USA, $ 1750), Dave Fiedler (USA, $ 1250), Tim Tyler (AU, $ 1250), Kai Kivekäs ($ 1000), Jay Kisling (USA, $ 1750), Tebu Satoh (J, $ 2000), Jonathan Forsyth ($ 1500), Hisatsugu Akitani (J, $ 2000), Gustav Heymann (RSA, $ 1750), Duran Trujillo (USA, $ 1750), Haruki Kan (J, $ 2000), Paul Sterrett (USA, $ 1500), Cody Bramble (AU, $ 2000), Mark Fox (AU, $ 2000), Troy Boldy (AU, $ 2,000), John Gorski (USA, $ 1750), Mauro Carreira (ARG, $ 2000), Tom Lauterbach (USA, $ 1500).
All racers in this list are asked to mail their complete bank address (incl. IBAN or BIC number) no later than by December 31, 2011 to jppro@pandora.be. Normally they'll receive their travelling incentive in January 2012.
All other racers will have to wait if yes or not the $ 31,500 US sponsoring contract will be respected. Of course they are always welcome, but if the sponsor doesn't pay they will have to come at their own expenses.
Concerning Brian Saunders it's good to remember that he didn't subscribe in time, so that he is not in the mist.

2. RETRO RACING: SANO V TO URSANER, AUSTRALIAN NATS TO BRAMBLE & AMOS
At SANO V world champion Howie Ursaner won Canam on the King, Dave Fiedler won Canam on the Flat Track, Ron Hershman won F1 on the King and GTC on the King, and Matt Bruce won F1 on the Flat Track. As Ursaner collected also a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 9th place he collected more points than all other entrants (31 at Canam King, 27 at F1 King, 17 at Canam Flat, 15 at F1 Fmat and 13 at GTC-PD) he finished as victor ludorum. At the Australian Nats Cody Bramble won Canam and Stewart Amos won F1. Both finished once third so that they are tied as winners of the victor ludorum ranking. 3. PAOLO TRIGILIO SETS UNIQUE RECORD AT ISRA WORLDS
At the ISRA Worlds in Brazil Italy's Paolo Trigilio succeeded to win the four races. He's the first racer in history to do so. Even Vladimir Horky, the absolute #1 racer in slot-racing history could never won more than three of the four races in the same year. Last year Trigilio was absent when his mom passed away. His unique performance of this year was certainly a late memorial of his mom.
