RACE FACTS - Disappointing at the Monza 1,000-kms, where the car finished as 19th and eighth GT, the car was said being more performant at Le Mans. However, Canada's Tony Burgess starts the car from 37th position (only ninth GT), what's not convincing. During the second hour Philip Collin spins twice off at the Playstation Chicane. After queiet racing, with an engine missing the necessary power, the car is found 24th at mid-race (sixth in GT). At 06.41h the car comes in to let change its brakes. Turning its laps without technical bothers the car continues progressing and is already 15th with less than three hours to go. At 14.39h TonyBurgess goes into the gravel but can resume, so that the position is maintained. Eventually he brings the car home in 15th position as fourth GT car, ten laps down to the class winning #90 Petersen/White Lightning Porsche. Shortly before the end Burgess was even found in 14th position, but could not prevent to be passed by the more powerful #69 Larbre Compétition Ferrari 550 Maranello. |
