RACE FACTS - The Luc Alphand Porsche starts from 38th position as tenth in the GT class. After a good start the car moves into 26th position (sixth GT) after three hours of racing. Due to coherent racing, without the smallest accident, the car is 23rd at mid-race (fifth GT), heading the #84 Seikel Porsche by one lap. At 07.00h the Luc Alphand has to come in to change his brake discs. Three laps are lost, but the car can maintain its 21st position. After 18 hours the car is already 19th, headed by the Freisinger #85 Yukos Porsche (13th), the Petersen/White Lightning #90 Porsche (14th), the #77 Choq Japanese Porsche (17th) and the #84 Seikel Porsche (which eventually succeeded to pass the Alphand Porsche). A troublefree last six hours permit Philippe Alméras to bring the car home as 16th and fifth GT, eleven laps down to the class winning #90 Petersen/White Lightning Porsche. |
