SURVEY OF THE 2 SPRINT RACES WITH MODEL CARS
1. THE 16th PRODUCTION WORLDS  (Friday) -
contested with 32 handout identical 1/32nd scale NSR Mosler as already raced since 2008.  Qualifications 1' on lane purple. Straight heats of 8 x 5'. The Production Worlds is exclusively open for 32 racers.
2. THE 124 F1 SPRINT WORLDS  (Friday
are contested exclusively by pros with 1/24th copies of the 24 actual F1 cars, using at the racers discretion (1) or a F1 chassis of Niemas Racecars, (2) or a F1 Metris chassis, (3) or WWS F1 chassis as released by Jens Scaleracing, and further a recent hard plastic Revell body and an SR-49 Hi-Speed handout motor. The rules can be found under art. 6.B of the MOCPA Rulebook.  Before the start each entrant receives 2 pairs of rear wheels, one with black sponge tyres and one with brown rubber tyres. They decide themselves which of the two pairs they'll mount for the qualifications, going over 3 rounds. Tyre change is obliged between the start of run #3 until the end of run #6. There are 3 qualification rounds, where the 8 last after session #1 are out after the first session, where the 6 last of session #2 are out for the last session, and where the last session with 10 cars decides upon the final composition of the heats.  Race goes over 3 heats of 8 x 7'30. More details can be found at MOCPA's Special F1 Worlds page. Using actual 1/24th scale F1 cars for the 24th Model Car Sprint Worlds offered the best conditions to get the necessary sponsoring money for the 2012 MOCPA Barcelona Worlds. [Eventually we got $ 50,000 US as sponsoring money, not enough to pay the plane tickets of Paul & Frank Gawronski, Jeff Lauterbach, Herman James, Tracy Chin, Al & Kieron Paterson, Mauro Carreira, Carel van Heerden jr, Colin Lotz. With pain in my heart I had to drop those racers from the entry list - JPVR.]

SURVEY OF THE 3 RETRO SPRINT RACES WITH CANAM CARS
1. THE 24th BENELUX CUP (Sunday)
will be contested for the first time in a quarter century with D3 Canam cars and this following the technical prescriptions sub art 6.C of the MOCPA Rule Book. That article copies, except for part C ("The Motor") the existing D3 rules. As motor retro cars will use in 2012 the ProSlot Euro Mk1 with US Puppy Dog armature and can with ball bearing. The Benelux Cup is the warm-up race for the 3rd Retro Worlds on Sunday.
2. THE 21st RETRO EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP (EURONATS) (Sunday
will be contested no longer with 1/24th model cars but for the first time with D3 retro Canam cars. The race will be reserved for 64 racers. Technical rules are D3's (except for the handout motor a broken-in ProSlot Euro Mk1 Puppy Dog with bearing at the can).
3. THE 3rd CocaCola RETRO RACING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP (Monday) will be the highlight of the Barcelona Worlds. That race too will be contested with 1/24th D3 Canam cars with a format of 8 Consis (8 x 3'), 4 Quarters (8 x 3'), 2 Semis (8 x 4') and 1 Main Final (8 x 5'). There will be room for 64 entrant. The D3 Retro Racing Worlds will be TV covered. No less than 34 racers coming from overseas will be at the start, representing the five world continents. Not earlier in the history of slot-racing such happened, even not in the golden sixties! Something that will be stocked in your memory for the rest of your life.  More details can be found at MOCPA's Special Retro Worlds page

THE  ENDURANCE RACE WITH 2011 BATHURST V8 SUPERCARS
THE 11TH ENDURANCE WORLDS (Saturday
over  3 heats of 8 x 22'30" as the big event on Saturday: the 11th Endurance World Championship. Enough from the too slow motors, a majority of racers insisted to work with the ProSlot Euro Mk 1 Puppy Dog motor as used for the retro races. Such faster motors are incompatible with GFK or hard plastic motors. So, waiting copies of actual race GT3 cars, only expected by 2015, we opted for indestructible 0.030" PETG bodies of ... 2011 V8 Supercars as released by good old  Victor Ferguson (USA) [he has golden hands] before March 31, 2012.  There will be a separate world championship for pros (12 cars for 24 entrants) and for semi-pros (14 cars for 29 entrants). Rules can be found sub art 7 of the MOCPA Rule Book.
