Up from 2011 the semi-pro world championship will be contested one week prior to the pro world championship. The meeting starts with a free practice session on Friday afternoon until Friday night. On Saturday we contest the Semi-Pro Endurance Cham-pionship. On general request of the majority of the racers this race will be contested, just as for the pros, with 1/24th scale copies of the 24 cars having been seen at the 2010  FIA GT1 World Championship. There are three racers per car, thus 72 racers in total. The race goes over a first day section, a night section and a second day section. All sections go over three heats of 8 x 7'30", what means 3 hours of racing per car. Cars have to respect art. 7 of the IMCA Rule Book. Composition of the heats depends upon the results of the qualifications. Entry fee for the Endurance Worlds is 40 euro per racer and includes a personalised deep purple IMCA t-shirt with the name and nation of the driver, a well-broken in ProSlot PS4000-IMCA motor and the insurance costs.
All racers having contested the Endurance Worlds are invited on Sunday morning at the Semi-Pro 1/32nd Sprint Worlds, where no extra fee is due. That race is contested with handout NSR Moslers. Handout of the cars is done randomly. Composition of the 8 x 3 minutes heats depends upon the results at the qualification session.
The meeting will be ended on Sunday afternoon with the Semi-Pro 1/24 Sprint Worlds, being open for 32 racers. As stipulated in art. 3.2.1 of the IMCA Rule Book it concerns semi-pros (having collected in their racing career less than 120 IOC points, as stipulated in art. 1.3.2) not lower ranked than #500 in the IOC-list at the end of the year preceding the race (cf. art. 3.2.1). The lonely exception on this rule are two racers, lower ranked than #500, eligible to receive a wild card (art. 1.2.2). No country can enter at the Semi-Pro 1/24th Sprint Worlds more than five racers. Just as for pros the race will be contested with 1/24th Porsches 911 GT3 Cup (copies of the cars as seen at the 2010 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup) respecting art 7BIS. We made a provisional selection of the 32 racers allowed to enter the 1/24th Sprint Worlds.
Organiser of the meeting is SRC Merlijn of Raymond van Campenhout.
in co-operation with Slotracing24 of Hubert Jacob.
The Sprint Super Trophy -  At the 1/24th Sprint Worlds cars have been grouped by 2 or 3 per team. Names of the teams are the same as in 1/1 racing. At the end of the race top-15 finishers win the following points: 20-18-16-14-12-10-9-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. Per team the 2 best results are considered. Racers of the team having won most points win the 88cm high golden Sprint Super Trophy.
Who can enter the Endurance Worlds? In principle any racer having not more than 120 IOC-points, and having NOT received a wild card for the Pro Worlds, can enter. It sufficient to complete the subscription form below. The composition of the 24 teams, as scheduled below, is only provisional. It becomes only definitive if the invited teams confirm their entry by December 31, 2010. After that day, teams having not accepted the invitation, will be replaced by other teams having done a demand in time.  Subscribers can change the proposed composition of the national team if they want. The assignment of the body liveries can hardly be changed, as well for the 1/24th Sprint Worlds as for the 1/24th Endurance Worlds.
Note on Spanish team. The Spanish team allowed to enter will be the one having won the Spanish Model Car Championship, organised by Javier Checa Villa.
There are travelling incentives for racers coming from overseas. [JPVR]

Date: Friday March 11 - Sunday March 13, 2011 (u.r.).

Location: Jeugduis Merlijn, Kerkhofstraat 54, Wezembeek-Oppem. Tel. +32-493.588.288 & +32-2-731.04.35 (RVC)
web: http://www.merlijn.be/pages/startpagina.html
Who comes from "Leuven" or Antwerp joins the Ring around Brussels (R0), following direction "Charleroi-Namen". Those who come from Wallonia join also the R0, but now in the direction "Zaventem-Oostende".
At exit 2 one quits the Ring R0 and takes to the left, going under the Ring. One joins over only 100 metres the Wezembeeklaan, joining the left exit where one takes the Louis Marcelisstraat until one sees the church. There one has to turn around the plane, following the indication "Camping". Behind the church one turns to the right, 50 metres further to the left (Pietersplein), to take again 50 metres further the Bergbokstraat, where, after 100 metres one still follows "Camping", turning to the left (watch for the speed ramps!) into the Kerkbergstraat. The Kerkhofstraat, where one finds Jeugdhuis Merlijn, is now the first street at the right. The Jeugdhuis lies mid of a grass park with a beautiful pond. Pay attention: there is absolutely no smoking in the racing premises.

Catering: A bar is installed in the Jeugdhuis where you can find at more than democratic low prices beverages, sandwiches, French fries, hot dogs, etc.

Fees: Entry fee for racers entering the 124 Sprint Worlds is € 40 and for entering the Enduro Worlds € 40 per racer. There is no fee for the 132 Worlds. Racers receive a personalised deep purple t-shirt with their name in white.

Motors: Only tagged handout motors may be used. For all cars, except the retro cars, it concerns a well broken in PS4000-IMCA motor, which racers have to return at the end of the meeting. Use of the handout motors is free.

Rear tyres & Lights: For the races with FIA GT1 cars each team need to buy two pairs of Scaleauto 27.5 x 13 mm rear tyres at € 12.50 per pair. The first pair can be used at the first half of the Endurance Worlds. During the night section all racers have to change tyres at the race direction stand, where they receive the second pair of rear tyres only after they returned the first pair. Tyre change need to be done in front of the race director's stand. Don't forget to install functioning lightning on your endurance car, in front as well as in rear.

Travelling Incentives: There are travelling incentives for racers coming from overseas, with a maximum of $ 1,250 US. Travelling incentives belong not to SRC Merlijn's business. They have to be agreed by mail to the fund raiser at jppro@pandora.be.

WALTER LECHNER RACING SCHOOL (A)

At IMCA we decided to restrict the worlds to only one week-end. That implies that the pro and semi-pro worlds can no longer be contested together. So, in 2011, the semi-pro worlds will be organised one week earlier than the pro worlds. There is room for 32 racers at the 1/24th sprint worlds and for 72 racers at the endurance worlds. All racers having entered on Satur-day the endurance worlds are invited at the 1/32nd worlds for semi-pros where no entry fee is due.
It should be a major error to believe that the semi-pro worlds is only a lower worlds than the pro worlds. Ar IMCA we invest the same amount of money in the pro worlds as in the semi-pro worlds. For 2011 we invite racers of such countries as the USA, Canada, South-Africa, New Zeeland, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, France, England, and Spain. Racers coming from overseas receive the same travelling incentives as at the pros.

VERVA RACING (PL)

The importance of the semi-pro worlds is that they give candidate buyers of model car products a good idea what is the most competitive material. Having won the 1/24th sprint worlds or the endurance worlds is a strong argument in the inter-make competition. At the endurance worlds any homologated chassis can be raced (as follows from art. 7 of the IMCA rule book). At the 1/24th sprint worlds number of allowed chassis is restricted to 10: (i) the DoSlot GT-C 13D, (ii) the Metris Mk4S/Mk4B, (iii) the Motor Modern (MoMo) MP08V-SW08V, (iv) the MSC 11 Anglewinder, (v) the MSR-1 Kit,(vi) the Plafit SLP-1, (vii) the Schöler 55 or 55-13HF or 55VHor 55FFFH, (viii) the Slotfabrik SF Mk VIB, (ix) the Slotline S-GT, and (x) the Slotvision Mach 3. The published results will also mention which controller was used per entrant. That too is important for the sellers or manufacturers of speed controllers.

VELTINS MRS RACING (D)

The Ferrari F-40  formula ,as applied at the 21st and 22nd IMCA Sprint Worlds, is no longer maintained in 2011. That implies that racers have to assemble their Porsche Supercup car themselves (except for Greaeme Stephenson and Andrew Aynsley who will receive a top-car assembled by the reigning world champion Michael Niemas, as indicated by NCR). In total we selected 32 racers for the 2011 IMCA 124 Sprint Worlds, among them 5 racers coming from overseas. As stipulated in art. 7BIS of the IMCA Rule Book only 10 different chassis can be used under a Scaleauto Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (997) body. Bodies must be equipped with the Tudor-Mobil 1-Tudor sunstroke, with the logos of Loctite, Michelin, BBS and Tudor and the racing numbers at the correct place. Cars must be painted in the correct colours with always the name of the main sponsor.

ANTONELLI MOTORSPORT (I)

Just as the Procar races with BMW M1s in 1979-1980 were contested as curtain raiser to F1 Grand Prix, the rounds of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup are since 1993 a curtain raiser of the actual F1 Grand Prix. They are contested on such legendary circuits as Monaco, the Nürburgring, Spa, Monza, etc. In 2006 there were even two rounds at the Brickyard of Indianapolis. The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup (over 10 to 12 rounds) is the most prestigious of all one make series in autosport. Contrarily to the Ferrari Challenge with the F430 cars, the Supercup Porsches are driven by a mixture of very experienced drivers and young lions, but not by gentlemen drivers as at the Ferrari Challenge. At the 2010 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 13 cars (all numbered from 1 thru 24, without a #13) could score points. Cars with a number 30 or higher went to guest drivers contesting only a restricted number of rounds. 2010 Supercup winner was Jeroen Bleekemolen.
