December 29, 2010 - version 3.5

The 10th IMCA Endurance Worlds will be contested with exactly the same 24 FIA GT1 cars at scale 1/24th which were supposed to be raced at the 5th EEC of end November 2010. Eventually only 18 cars were driven in a meeting which was a pure shame for IMCA: incompetent race direction, masses of dust, disputes provoked by the H. Jacob gang of Walloon racers, ridiculous position of the webcams, several illegal decisions, a rain of track calls, etc. This flagrant failure must be erased as soon as we can. That will be done on Sunday March 27, 2011. Race location is no longer the too dusty Jeugdhuis Merlijn, but the IMCA Race Centre (Nieuwstraat 31, Herentals - Belgium) where we earlier organised the 2008 & 2009 IMCA World Championship. Track will be again the Steve Ogilvie Worlds MTT track.
The race goes over 3 sections of 8 x 7'30". Composition of the first section depends upon the results of the qualifications. Composition of the second section depends upon the ranking after the first section. Composition of the third section depends upon the ranking after the second section. That last section goes in the dark with lights on. Lightning set is free.
Entry fee is € 50 per racer. A tyre change during race time is always obliged within the second section and must be performed in view of the race directors.
There are trophies for the winning pro team, for the winning semi-pro team and for the winning amateur team. IMCA has the four handout RTR cars available for racers with little experience in assembling competitive model cars. Travelling incentive are limited at $ 1,250 US for racers coming from overseas (max. 3) and € 250 for British racers (max. 5), this under condition that racers receiving incentives enter the Sprint Worlds.

24 FIA GT1 CARS FOR THE 2011 IMCA ENDURANCE WORLDS

Since the first model car worlds, in 1985, we always tried to maintain a link as close as possible between 1/1 auto sport and slot-racing. At the Endurance Worlds we will race 1/24th copies of the 24 cars having been seen at the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship. Entry at the Endurance Worlds follows art 1.3.3. of the IMCA Rulebook.
