The races will be organised by the SRC Merlijn. JPVR will be absent due to health conditions. There'll be video covering of the five different races.
TROPHIES: 1-2-3 among the pros after 5 rounds (each time 2 trophies); 1-2-3 among the semi-pros after 5 rounds (each time 3 trophies); winner of the best two cars team win a super trophy (one for each racer, max. 5); concourse winner wins a trophy. Thus 21 trophies in total.
There are
FIVE separate races. At each of those races racers of top-10 finishers win res. 30, 22½, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, 4½, 3 and 1½ points.
Each racer receives a personalised t-shirt in the colours of his/her team. The convened travelling incentives will be paid, despite the absence of JPVR

The 2010 European Endurance Championship for pro-racers (2010 EEC PRO) will be contested with 1/24th scale copies of the 24 cars involved in the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship. It is open for racers living in Europe and will be contested on the MTT track which has been used for the Model Car World Championships of 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. The 2010 EEC PRO is an organisation of SRC Merlijn in co-operation with Slotracing24. Location is Kerkhofstraat 54, Wezembeek-Oppem at less than 5 miles from Brussels Airport. Doors open on Friday November 26 at 4pm and all racing is over on Sunday morning November 28, giving racers having come by plane, plenty of time to have a plane back in the morning. The 2010 EEC PRO goes over 5 races with each time 3 heats of 8 x 7’30. The very last round will be contested in the dark during the night from Saturday to Sunday: so functioning lights on all cars will be obligatory. As there are more than 12 world champions present, having won in their career more than 50 world championships, top-10 finishers of each round are rewarded with res. 30, 22.5, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, 4.5, 3 and 1.5 IOC-points. After the 5 rounds all points are added and the team having won most IOC-points is the winner of the 2010 EEC PRO.  Entry fee is up to 55 euro per racer, including one motor ProSlot PS-4000IMCA per team, and 1 personalised t-shirt per entrant (with the SRO FIA GT1 logo).
Each car is driven by 2 racers if it concerns 2 pro-racers, having won at least 120 IOC-points, or by 3 racers if it concerns racers having won less than 120 IOC-points. If you are interested to start you have to complete the below entry form (as long as  there are still cars available: cars being still available are preceded on the below pics by a green dot.) Don’t forget to mention the name of your team mate(s).

NOTE:
In September a 2010 EEC SEMI-PRO is organised at Dison, where only racers having won less than 120 IOC-points can enter. More info can be found here. Semi-pros are allowed to contest ànd the race at Dison ànd that at Wezembeek-Oppem. The Dison race is than an excellent warm-up for the 2010 EEC PRO.

Make & Type Minimum Height Minimum Wheelbase Maximum Width
Aston Martin DBR9/DBRS 46 mm 112 mm 84 mm
Corvette C6-R & Corvette Z06 46 mm 112 mm 84 mm
Ford GT (Matech Racing) 46 mm 110 mm 84 mm
Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT 46 mm 111 mm 85 mm
Maserati MC12 46 mm 117 mm 86 mm
Nissan R35 350Z GT-R 46 mm 110 mm 85 mm

(1) WEIGHT & WEIGHT CORRECTION
1.a. WEIGHT - The absolute minimum weight for GT cars is 190 grams. To this absolute minimum weight, a weight correction will be applied, depending on the dimensions of the car.
1.b. WEIGHT CORRECTION - 5 grams penalty for every mm too wide, 3 grams penalty for every mm too low,2 grams penalty for every mm of difference with the required wheelbase. The combined weight correction will have to be glued under the highest point of the front bonnet.
1.c.
EXAMPLE - Ford GT with the following measured dimensions and weight: width: 85 mm (allowed: max 84 mm), height: 47 mm (allowed: min 46 mm), wheelbase: 108 mm (required 110 mm), weight: 192 grams (required: min 190 grams). Weight correction : 5 grams for 1 mm too wide, 4 grams for 2 mm difference in wheelbase, so in total 9 grams needs to be glued under the highest point of the front bonnet. This will bring the total weight of this specific car at 199 grams.
(2)
DIMENSIONS - Dimensional differences will be sanctioned through the weight correction as above.
(3)
GROUND CLEARANCE - This will be measured under the entire RTR car, including the body, sitting on the tech block. At the start of every race: never below 1.00mm. During a race: never below 0.40mm.

PREPARING OUR FIRST DIRECT CONTACT WITH 1/1 GT1 RACING

Model car races with FIA GT cars are organised since 2001. In 2006 Tamar Nelwan organised for the first time a European Endurance Championship. The 2010 edition is thus already the fifth in the history of model car racing. Except for the 2009 edition they were all organised with FIA GT cars. In 2010 the Endurance World Championship was organised for the first time with FIA GT cars (version 2009). The 5th EEC is the first to be contested with 1/24th model car copies of the 24 GT1 cars being raced at the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship. This 5th EEC is the final preparation of the 2011 IMCA Worlds, where both the Sprint Worlds (1 racer per car) and the Endurance Worlds (2 racers per car) will be contested with the same 24 FIA GT1 cars.
The 5th EEC is the first direct link between autosport and slot-racing, also the last test before the 2011 1/24th FIA GT1 World Championship. At the 5th EEC we wish to demonstrate the highest professional approach, proving that this type of racing is also attractive for spectators. In order to make clearly visible for the spectators which racer drives for which team - remember that each team in FIA GT1 racing counts two cars - Astria Ghent will develop for the 1/24th FIA GT1 races twelve different t-shirts. Of course there will be absolutely no practice and no racing without those t-shirts. Moreover all racers are asked to show with dark long pants (by preference black).
The race director and his two scrutineers will be easily recognised by the spectators, as they'll wear black t-shirts with the FIA GT1 logo and in white characters their function (race director or scrutineer).
At the 5th EEC racers will be involved in two competitions. (1) The first competition is the one over 5 rounds where the top-10 duos or trios of drivers can win res. 30, 22½, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, 4½, 3 and 1½ points. The duo (or trio) having won most points after the 5 races will be the 2010 European Endurance Champion, with the European t-shirt and a trophy for each of the duo's or trio's racers. (2) But there will be also a second competition for the best team. With "team" we mean the two cars belonging together to one of the twelve motoring groups: e.g. the two Vitaphone Maseratis, the two Matech Fords, the two Mad-Crock Corvettes, etc. Drivers of the two "team" cars having won most points will receive each a super trophy as pictured here. Such competition will enforce the collective spirit of racers having perhaps never before worked together.
