EXHAUSTIVE LIST WITH IMCA HOMOLOGATED MODEL CAR PARTS

List valid until September 1, 2010 - All prices at June 21, 2010

It's absolutely necessary to make an exhaustive list of model car items which can be used in "fair" international racing. Ultimate goal is that at IMCA sprint & endurance racing - except for lightning, screws, spacers, and washers - no other parts can be used than those in the list. Frustrating for non-German and non-Spanish racers is that nearly all quality parts are manufactured in Germany and Spain and that there are nearly no English order lists for all parts. The supremacy of the German model car racers is highly due to the fact that German manufacturers release nearly continuously new parts, completely unknown in the rest of the world. That resulted in the late 1990s into a massive withdrawal of the international racers from model car racing, letting the field open for the German specialists.  Except for Germany, Spain, Austria and Switzerland nobody else releases products for model car racing.  We propose to update the list twice per year: once on March 1 and once on September 1. During six months no other items may then be used than those in the list. If you feel we forgot important items, please inform us.  Newly homologated items are on a light blue field.

The MkIV uses the SLP technique and is probably the MOST PROFESSIONAL MODEL CAR CHASSIS ACTUALLY ON THE MARKET. It has been released on December 21, 2008 and is executed at the highest standards. Can be used under FIA GT CARS.

Fits also under FIA GT cars. Finished second at the 2009 Toronto Sprint Masters. Won the 2009 Semi-Pro Sprint Worlds.  EXCELLENT FOR SPRINT & ENDURANCE WORLDS.

Undoubtedly the best chassis on the market. At the 2007 Worlds it trusted the 16 first places. It also won the 2007 Mello Yello. In 2008 it dominated the Sprint Worlds as well as the Endurance Worlds. Was the exclusively used chassis at the 2009 Worlds. Can be used under ALL FIA GT CARS. Slotline LMP****

Based upon the SLP chassis. Further evolution of the Slotline S-GT. Good weight balance. Width 70mm. Exists in single and double front suspension. A version with rear suspension is also available. Shipped all over the world and continuously available. Total weight of bottom plate adjustable.  Incl. carbon parts. Excellent for such GT cars as Aston Martin DBR9, Maserati MC12, Corvette Z06R, Saleen SR7, Ford GT, Ferrari F430, Porsche 997.

MoMo X-SW07 GT***

#10728GT Non adjustable height of front and rear axle, but for 26.5 mm high front wheels and 27.5mm high rear wheels (as used by IMCA). Very low centre of gravity and adjustable lateral weight sets. Two holes in the piece just behind the front axle allow that the motor wires cannot rub the front axle. The MoMo X-SW07 GT was raced by Francesc Reyes at the 2007 EEC at Alsdorf, where it was the fastest car on the track.  At the 2007 Worlds the chassis disappointed. Won the 2008 EEC with Ferrari F430 GT body, but even in hands of the best drivers failed to beat the PlaFit SLP chassis at the 2008 Endurance Worlds. Certainly not the best choice to be used under modern LMS & ALMS cars. Can be used under FIA GT CARS..

Together with the Metris Mk4.0 chassis this seems the best chassis one should use in 2009 at such endurance races as the Toronto Endurance Worlds and the 2009 EEC rounds. It's a typical chassis for prototypes as the ALMS cars. Ralph Seif developed a version where with a screw the height of the suspension can be regulated. The new chassis is available at the Trier Race Center, however provisionally with a prolonged delivery time.  Cannot be used under FIA GT CARS. EXCELLENT FOR GROUP C RACING.

Nobody is allowed to commercialise a model of a Porsche or a Ferrari being less than 30 years old.  Models on the market - for which royalties were paid to Porsche or Ferrari - can only be copied for PERSONAL use, NEVER on commercial purposes. Copies of a model released by a Japanese manufacturer and having been registered as art, even if used only for personal use, are always illegal. Any racer found with a GFK version of the Ferrari F430 being a copy of the Fujimi model (not registered as art) and of the Porsche 997 GT3-RS(R) being a copy of the Profil 24 version, can be pursued if he has no proof that he bought or the Fujimi or the Profil 24 version. For that reason GFK versions of both cars will only be allowed in IMCA racing if the racer has in his slot box also the original Fujimi or Profil 24 version.

Porsche 911 Carrera RSR
(3.0-litre version used by Martini at Le Mans '73)


There exist no model car version of the two 3-litre Porsches Carrera RSR as raced by International Marti-ni at the 1973 Le Mans 24h. However for an experienced modeller it's possible to rea-lise a good copy, starting from both the Fujimi plastic kit and the Wiesel resin kit.

The rear wheel arches can be widened from 72 to 78 mm (3mm on each side). In the front bonnet one has to bore a second hole. One of the side window supports needs to be cut. The very special rear "Heck Flugel" can be made from a sheet of plastic as shown in the picture below. The rest of the rear spoiler can be taken from the Fujimi kit.

It's recommended to use a lexan interior to lower the model weight as much as possible. One finds lexan interiors at the Slotracing Work shop.
